If you're interested in joining the RPG, here's a step-by-step guide as to what you should do:
1) READ this entire message in regards to how to apply to this board!! It's important that you know, understand, and follow all of the rules and requests we've set forth in this thread and in others to ensure a smooth application process.
2) Be sure you've read our Basic Rules and Information thread to make sure this is an RPG that meets your interests. Also, before joining, please be sure our rules are suitable to your liking so there are no conflicts in the future.
After you've read the Basic Rules and Information thread, please be sure to read the Do’s and Don’ts threads as well before submitting an application.
These threads weren't made because it was fun for us. These threads were made to tell you exactly how to apply to this RPG. Failure to abide by the requests in these threads will hinder your acceptance in this RPG.
3) If you want to apply for a canon character, go to the relevant thread in the Character Bio Submissions forum to see which characters are available and which ones are not. If none of the available characters appeal to you, you may use an original character of your own creation. But also, please note that the list we've supplied encompasses only SOME of the characters you may choose from. A character's name not being on the list doesn't rule them out as a potential character to apply for.
4) Once you've decided on a character to play, be it from a canon universe or from your own, create a bio for that character using our character bio submission form. We made this form because it's easy to read and gives us the information we desire for all applicants, so we ask that anyone interested in joining the RPG submit their bio in the standard method presented in the link above. Be aware that for existing characters, you can copy and paste a bio from another website, but PLEASE give credit to that site if you choose this route! Also, please note that sample roleplays are REQUIRED as part of your application! Your application won't even be looked at seriously unless there's a sample in there, or a promise of one to come.
5) Once you've constructed your bio, complete with sample roleplay and contact information, create a new thread in the Character Bio Submission forum and post your application in that thread, with the Subject of the thread being the name of the character you're applying for. Be sure to spellcheck your bio and your sample roleplay. Remember, we're judging you based on the bio and the sample submitted. You want it to be as good as it possibly can be to gain entrance, which means minimize any spelling and grammar mistakes. Copy and paste your bio into Word or another document creating program to find these errors if need be.
6) Wait for the bio moderator(s) to post comments on your bio. These comments may simply be their seal of approval for the character you've submitted, or the comments could reflect potential problem areas in the bio itself, such as conflicts with the bio's history and our setting. Please understand that any requests we make of you in regards to the bio you've submitted MUST be adhered to if you expect to be accepted into our RPG. After all, it's our RPG. If you won't follow the requests or rules we've laid out or asked you to adhere to, we are under no obligation to accept you. It's that simple, and while it may also sound pretty harsh, it doesn't have to be with a little cooperation.
7) You'll know your bio has been approved by the staff when we move it to the Character Bios forum that corresponds with the group your character has joined.
You'll be able to tell when your character has been approved and moved to a subsequent Character Bios forum because we leave a shadow of the thread in the Character Bio Submission forum. You'll see the name of the application you submitted, but beside it will be a note in parenthesis that it has been moved. That's your hint that you've been accepted.
It's as simple as that. Please, try your best to adhere to the instructions we've provided above. If you have any questions, contact your administrator/moderator.
