Real Name: Ellen Patrick
Identity/Class: Normal human
Occupation: Socialite
Affiliations: None known
Enemies: Crooked politicians, gangsters, secret societies.
Known Relatives: Owen Patrick (father, politician, deceased)
Aliases: None
Base of Operations: California
First Appearance: Saucy Romantic Adventures "The Domino Lady Collects" (May, 1936)
Powers/Abilities: The Domino Lady had no exceptional powers, just guts, brains and a lot of luck.
History: Owen Patrick was one of the most feared politicians in California, a man who made many enemies within his chosen field. Eventually one of those enemies saw fit to have him assassinated. His daughter Ellen, a beautiful and talented Berkeley graduate, swore to avenge her father's death, and disguised as the Domino Lady, clad in a white, backless halter dress and domino mask, she set about robbing her father's rivals of their ill-gotten monies, then donating most of the loot to charity (though she does keep some for herself).
Comments: There were six Domino Lady stories, all written by "Lars Anderson". However like many pulp authors, this was a pen name, and the true identity of her creator remains unknown.
Her adventures have recently been reprinted by Bold Venture Press, under the title Compliments of the Domino Lady, complete with artwork by Jim Steranko.
Many thanks to Joe Marsich for informing me of the existence of this character, as well as providing both images and information on her.
