Delta Cloth is an attempted upgrade on the more common Beta Cloth used by SHIELD and other organizations. It's a tad bit heavier than Beta Cloth, but still not as cumbersome as other body armors. It can be made into any number of different suits, including protective under-garments or bodysuits worn under normal clothing (although after more than 24 hours it gets a bit itchy). Delta Cloth's protective capablities varies depending on the type of attack:
-It provides Typical (6) protection against all forms of Blunt attack. (BA & TB)
-It provides Good (10) protection against projectiles such as bullets. (Sh)
-It provides Excellent (20) protection against Heat, Cold, and Radiation.
-It has special properties with regards to Electrical attacks, including most tasers and stun-guns: In the first round, it will absorb the attack with Remarkable (30) ability. However, the character must ground out the charge within 1 round, or 20 points (Excellent) will get through. How exactly the character does this is up to them, but hugging the guy who just tasered them is one option...
Delta Cloth only provides Poor (4) protection against edged attacks (EA & TE)
Price: RM to government agencies, AM on the black market.

Does my bum look big in this!?
Great start there Tomahawk. I think I'll have to spend some time getting my head round some of the other rules systems and come up with stats for the major RP systems for this stuff. Ho-hum, no rest for the wicked!

Does my bum look big in this!? Dat's not for me to say I've been thinking about going a step further, and making up a full-range of "cloths", from Alpha to Omega. Beta, of course, already has it's precedent in the "official" MU; it more-or-less forms the "basis" for the other cloths (yet to be designed...) I think it should be (relatively) easy to convert to System Ripper (c) format... with a little work.

I was thinking more along the lines of picking out the Major RP systems (System Ripper is a long way away at the moment!). These are the ones I thought should be catered for:
Aberrant Champions d20 DC Heroes DC Universe GURPS Supers Heroes Unlimited Marvel SAGA Marvel Universe Mutants & Masterminds Silver Age Sentinels (Tri-Stat version)
That's a BIG list!

How many of those are already d20- oriented?
I can take a gander in my HU (palladium) stuff later tonight and see what I can come up with...
What format would you prefer posts in this branch of the forum to be like?

How many of those are already d20- oriented? I can take a gander in my HU (palladium) stuff later tonight and see what I can come up with... What format would you prefer posts in this branch of the forum to be like? Obviously d20 is and Silver Age Sentinels has a d20 version (that's why I mentioned the Tri-Stat version) but am not sure whether DC Universe is d20 or not (I don't think it is) bu as I don't have it I couldn't tell you. I'm pretty certain that none of the others mentioned are d20 based. Mutants & Masterminds is based on d20 but is not a true d20 system game. I think the format would have to be: Item Name The name and/or product number. Item Type Armour, weapon, vehicle, protection, sensors, etc. Restrictions Does it require licensing? Is it restricted to certain groups? Cost Monetary value Availability Is it easy or hard to get hold of. Description It's powers, what it does, it's appearance, etc. Special Any special notes regarding the item System Stats One for each system covered I think that should cover all the bases. SB

okee dokee...
well, at the moment we have (more-or-less) MSH-Adv description. Other things will be forthcoming!
(any chance of splitting off some of the side-things into it's own thread, to "clean up" the entry?)

(any chance of splitting off some of the side-things into it's own thread, to "clean up" the entry?) Do you mean a different category for each RP system or for each type of equipment? SB

more like,
Main entry- (general) 2nd entry- (system a) 3rd entry- (system b) etc etc
and perhaps commentary in a totally seperate thread...
or maybe that would be too confusing?
Me and my "getting organized" mind...

Me and my "getting organized" mind... That could be too confusing. If you keep it simple, they will come! Or something like that. It's probably easier to have one thread per item of equipment and each piece of equipment has one stat block for each systems stats. Doing it that way will ensure consistency! SB

well, okee dokee.
When this (section) takes off, maybe everything could even get put together into it's own .pdf! maybe 1x year or so...
(wishful thinking...)

I would be willing to do that, but as you said this section would need to take off a bit more. I am thinking bout coming up with a few designs for common items, I am thinking bout making up the ultimate spy kit...and maybe some mystical or magical items.
It will have to be a side project though.
