CH 46 Seaknight
Model: Boeing Vertol CH 46 Seaknight
Type: Medium Transport Helicopter
Made by: USA
The CH-46D Sea Knight helicopter is used by military and private organizations (in civilian use, primarily Search & Rescue) for shipboard delivery of cargo and personnel. The CH-46E is the combat variety, used to provide all-weather, day-or-night assault transport of combat troops, supplies and equipment. Troop assault is the primary function and the movement of supplies and equipment is secondary. Additional tasks may be assigned, such as combat support, search and rescue, support for forward refuelling and rearming points, aero medic evacuation of casualties from the field and recovery of aircraft and personnel.
Specifications[/u]:
Total Length: 99.016 ft (30.180 m)

Max. take off weight: 50406.3 lbs (22860.0 kg)
Max. Speed: 161 kts (185.3 mph, 298 km/h)
Range: 100 nm (115.1 miles, 185 km) (132 nm (152 miles, 244.5 km ) for an assault mission)

Armament: None Standard; can accommodate 2 turret-mounted .50 caliber heavy-machine guns or the equivalent; 2 external hard-points available.
Notes: Relatively common transport helicopter; unarmed and unarmored variety available with few questions asked. Can be easily converted and upgraded, including advanced armaments, within the limits of its maximum take-off weight. Rear-loading, twin-rotor aircraft. Some models equipped with slide-open side doors where soldiers can “strap in” to use conventional weapons.
The stats for the CH 46 Seaknight can be used whenever a "typical" double-rotor transport helicopter is needed.
